The invitation

Invite some awe and wonder in your inbox: new creature art, animations, and voiceover shorts will be released each month in my Creature Feature Visual Poetry Theater.

Poetry is words arranged on a page or screen in a unique and particular order and combination that, when it meets your field, you are struck with feeling — as if all the particles of your being have momentarily rearranged in a beautiful way.

Visual poetry, for me, is the same thing, but this time using color, texture, and shape — a discovery of composition, unique and unpredictable in its array, a cloud of pixels that has temporarily arranged into a form that strikes you with overwhelming feeling, again as if all the particles of your being have momentarily rearranged, reflecting something precious about you and where you are.

As an artist of many mediums for 30+ years, I am constantly surprised and delighted by how those mediums continue to evolve and expand — and by what new dreams and discoveries that evolution allows me to both experience and express, and I'm excited to share those discoveries with you in this theater of my imagination.

How many creations, and in what form — art, animations, or perspectacles (voiceover shorts) — will vary month to month, as my creative flow does. I honor that flow and its timing, and trust you do too. But there will always be a new surprise and delight to enjoy each month.

A few questions

Is there a platform or app to log into?
No — and that's the whole point. Everything comes to you by email: no logins, no passwords, no groups, no app to keep track of. If you can open an email, you're in.
How much will I receive each month, and how often?
It varies with my creative flow — some months a little flurry of pieces, some months one perfect little film. What stays constant is that something new and delightful arrives every month, and that you'll see things before, and beyond, what the public ever does.
What kinds of things will I receive?
Creature art, short animations, and voiceover shorts — my visual poetry in its many moving forms, made to invite a little awe and wonder into an ordinary day.
What are Perspectacles?
Perspectacles are my voiceover shorts — a perspective of mine that you can try on, like a pair of spectacles, to see if it fits for you or not. They're my insights and musings, set to my art, offered to illuminate a different view or way of seeing something. And the wonderful thing about a perspective is that you can take it off, try on another, and simply notice how each one makes you feel — how it affects your life. You always remain the decider of which perspectives you enter and adopt.
Do I need a social media account?
Nope. No accounts, no feeds, no algorithms to please. Just you and your inbox. Simple and easy is the way we like it around here.
Can I cancel anytime?
