I just had a powerful awareness that I am actually much more comfortable NOT KNOWING than knowing! “Knowing” makes me feel constricted and locked down in my body. “not knowing” and/or being open to all the possible viewpoints or outcomes feels open and spacious and like peace in my body and soul.

I have noticed this from a mental perspective many MANY times over the years, but today was the first time I actually connected that to my somatic body experience in a very palpable way, that my body is actually MORE COMFORTABLE with not-knowing than with being “right” or “certain” or “knowing” something for sure. That stance feels limiting and really stagnating to me personally.

I have spent so long repeating other people's mantra of “we humans are so afraid of uncertainty” that I didn’t even notice that I f-ing love it actually! Always have! My mind/ego doesn’t of course, but my body and spirit does! And that just really landed in a powerful new way. So liberating!

All this time I’ve been thinking I needed to be more certain of myself, or my ideas, or my future, or perspectives or whatever to feel okay but actually it’s the freaking exact opposite for me and my particular energy system and body!! 🙌👏😍🥰

Not knowing or needing to know the absolute answers in life or outcomes or what is going to happen or “how things are” is actually MY COMFORT ZONE 🤯🤯🤯

Moving Up

ever noticed how
escalators go up
AND down?

that’s because
sometimes you need
to go to different

levels.

sometimes what you
need is the next
flight up,

and sometimes what
you need’s a flight
below.

it’s not a problem
that you have to go
down to get something,

and it’s not a problem
that you have to go up
to get something else,

the point is you’re
always getting what
you most need

at that time.

besides, if you turn your
head just a little, you’ll
see that what looked

like up is then down
and what looked like
down is then up,

and from there you
realize stairs and directions
are just different ways

to get where you’re going.

That’s why there’s no
such thing as a
“de-escalator”

because every movement
is a movement forward
no matter which way

you go.

from this power,

the power of this
unmet guilt and shame.

love has always been the
medicine...

whether you stay or
you leave.

to help our hearts heal
when they grieve.

🤣🤣😂🙌👏👏 I shared this in my stories the other day but I have to post it here and explain why this is so brilliant. It perfectly illustrates choice and how we get to choose who we BE and reality reflects that choice. Ernie has chosen to be the one who wants and gets a big piece. Bert also wants the big piece, but he has chosen to be the selfless and humble character who would take the small piece.

He believes that this behavior will actually get him the big piece. He has placed his power and worthiness to receive the big piece outside of him, so that it must be given to him before he can accept it. But Ernie just gives that power to himself from the start. Reality reflects Burt’s choice to be the “humble good one” who takes the small piece, and he’s frustrated that he’s received exactly what he asked for. Even though that’s what he asked for it still shocks him because deep down he thought that behavior would get him the big piece! 😂 and Ernie doesn’t make Burt’s choice a problem or wrong in any way, he just points out that he already has it! GOLD. ✨ 🙌👏👏

Now in reality, there are not just 2 pieces or 1 pie darlings. There’s a bakery on every corner. There are pie ingredients at the store. There are infinite number of pies to be made. Anyone who wants a big piece can have one, and every one who wants a small piece can have one. You decide. ❤️
