Hello Loves,
So today’s Sunday love letter is going to be short & sweet and includes a couple of announcements. The powerful full moon this past week took me for quite a ride, and many new gifts and awarenesses were revealed that I am still unpacking! I hope you found some gems for you as well. ✨
Regarding flights of fancy:
Yesterday we saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and in it there is a line from Mantis (the one who has intuitive powers) about how she’d spent her entire life doing what Ego wanted (ego was the name of one of the characters but obviously that is a massive metaphor 😂), and the other part of her life doing what she thought ‘God’ wanted (this was not her words, but essentially that was the metaphor, that she had spent her entire life either doing what the conditioned self (ego) wanted to do, or what she thought some higher being wanted her to do to be ‘good’ and ‘right’ (which is ALSO a result of conditioned IDEAS of ‘god’, as some separate judgmental and punishing being), and now she wanted to find out what SHE wanted. Her real and true authentic self.
I nodded and smiled at this, because this is what is happening for so many of us the world over. Having spent most of our lives doing what we thought others wanted us to do, or what we “should” do, or what the “right” thing to do is, or the ‘safe’ thing to do is, instead of exploring what we ACTUALLY, TRULY, and HONESTLY want for ourselves and our one precious life.
Which is a process! Because there is so much conditioning that keeps you from even being able to know and experience what you like! All of these self-judgments about what you want and what you like, that keep us from even knowing ourselves and our deepest fulfillments at all.
But I am here to remind us that that exploration gets to be SAFE too. That exploration gets to be SECURE too. That exploration gets to be easier and comfortable too. We are just going to source that safety, security and comfort from a new place within ourselves. Instead of sourcing it from outside of ourselves.
It is a flight of fancy indeed! Because it requires finding out what you fancy! What you want, and what you like, and what fills you up, without judgement or having to explain yourself and defend yourself or make it about others, instead of just letting it be HONEST and FOR YOU.
And it is with that in mind that I invite you to join me on my newest adventure and exploration…
