I think the reason why so many women hate the prospect of selling their work so much is because they think it is yet another place they’re going to have to PERFORM… you know… put on a show, dance a jig and put on a mask to make people happy and impressed with you. To make sure they like you, see the value, and love it/you… it’s the classic good girl people-pleaser routine that you’ve just finally got space from after years of doing the inner work. OR you think you’re going to have to puff up and put on this big bravado and have to keep that routine up. You don’t want to do it, but you think it’s the only way people will buy (because that’s what marketing tells you! ), and so as much as you want your business to thrive, a part of you is like: NO F💥ING WAY.
You’re finally in a place where you don’t have to do that song and dance, so the prospect of having to do sales/selling of your work where you have to “talk yourself up”, and “point out the value”, and earn and prove and tap dance to make people like you and want you and your work sends you running for the hills… because you are just not going back to that again.
GOOD. That means your decision is made.
It means you’ve stepped into a place where your inner peace and wellbeing matters MORE to you than what they think, and more than your external success even, and so that means your success MUST be built on something else… and that you are ready for it. ✨
You deciding NOT to sell THAT way means you have already decided that the way you sell your work cannot be a facsimile of that past version of you, you’ve evolved beyond that, so the WAY you offer & sell your work just needs to evolve now too.
When you embody the energy of someone who knows their work sells itself because the value is apparent, speaks for itself, and the energy of it precedes you, then you have nothing to prove.
You get to reclaim all that energy leakage and point it towards the wide open spaciousness of NEW CREATION to explore that feels like a natural extension of you, just as you are. So that the offering of your work just becomes more of your creative power waiting to be unleashed. When you tap that energy the joy and authenticity of it is like a beacon to your perfect fit people.
